Acclaimed American artist Richard Phillips and Porsche have collaborated to create an exceptional work of art of Porsche’s first all-electric sports car, the Taycan.
With the five-star ratings across the board for the ID.5, Polo and Taigo, Volkswagen underlines its commitment to the highest safety standards and continues its series of successes: the ID.4 and compact ID.3 recently achieved the highest ratings in the Euro NCAP in April 2021 and October 2020 respectively. In 2019, the Golf and T-Cross also received top marks.

"The high-quality cabin provides a sense of modernity and sportiness with a unique take on the feel of the CUPRA brand. Once inside high-quality materials, with brushed dark aluminium and copper accents make the cabin feel modern and contemporary, while cocooning the occupants. As the driver takes hold of the new CUPRA steering wheel, another indicator of the spirit of the CUPRA Formentor, housing the engine start and CUPRA mode select button, they will instantly understand they are taking control of a different type of vehicle. And, unlike other models in the range, the Digital Cockpit data is focused on the vehicle’s electrified powertrain, from the electric-only range remaining to the mode of power deliver. The centrepiece of the interior is the 12” infotainment touchscreen which provides the functionality and connectivity to all occupants and reduces button count. The simplicity and elegance of the interior is achieved in part thanks to the inclusion of the shift-by-wire DSG transmission technology, which helps declutter the interior, creating greater space."
Parallel to the development of the eight-cylinder performance hybrids, the next technological stage is taking place: AMG Performance Hybrid in combination with the AMG four-cylinder turbo engine. The 2.0-litre engine with the internal designation M 139 has so far been used in the compact performance models installed transversely. As an E PERFORMANCE variant, it will also provide a fitting drive in other future Mercedes-AMG model series. However, it will be installed longitudinally, thoroughly reworked and its performance significantly increased once again. The engineers are aiming for the further developed M 139 to once again surpass the world's highest litre output of all four-cylinder series engines. The biggest innovation is the electric exhaust-gas turbocharger, which is being realised for the first time in a production vehicle. This technology comes directly from Formula 1 and is called MGU-H (Motor Generator Unit Heat). The identical system already powers the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE hypercar.
