As elegant as a coupé, as strong as an SUV and all-electric to boot: The ID.5 GTX is set to make its international exhibition debut as of 07 September – as a disguised concept at the IAA Munich Motor Show. The first SUV coupé based on the Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) wows with its elegant design and powerful dual engine four-wheel drive. And the ID.5 GTX is fully connected, can receive updates over-the-air and is fitted with Car2X technology. The ID.5 GTX is the first all-electric powered SUV coupé from Volkswagen. With its fluid lines, the ID.5 GTX is elegant and sporty. Short overhangs and big wheels highlight its strong character. In the high front, the IQ.Light LED matrix headlights, which generate an intelligently controlled high beam, give the front of the car a likeable look. The light strip that tapers towards the Volkswagen logo has been combined with three powerful, illuminated honeycomb elements on both the driver and passenger side. They complement the signature of the low beam and convey the athletic character even while stationary. The flat sloping A pillars positioned right near the front give the roof line an elegant flow – it stretches low over the body and tapers out in an integrated rear spoiler. At the rear, horizontal lines accentuate the width, with the light strip attracting the most attention. The LED rear lights with a 3D design complete the feeling of luxury.
Audi RS e-tron GT – Design Review
“The most beautiful car I have ever drawn.” Marc Lichte, Head of Audi Design, chose these words in the fall of 2018, when the brand presented the Audi e-tron GT concept as a show car in Los Angeles. Two years later, the first fully electric gran turismo from Audi is about to celebrate its premiere as a series production model.
A thermometer below zero, adverse weather conditions in the forecast and a slippery road surface: these are the signs that winter is well underway with the many dangers the elements can bring. The new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology recently introduced to the Jeep® Renegade and Compass 4xe means difficult driving situations can be dealt with in total peace of mind even in the coldest season, whether in or out of the city, on routes that often lead up mountainsides: circumstances when range, battery life and safety are really put to the test. Featuring hybrid four-wheel drive, the Jeep Renegade and Compass 4xe are 4x4 vehicles delivering a carefree winter driving experience on off-road trails as well as in the city. Compared to variants with an internal combustion engine, the Jeep 4xe models offer improved performance, guaranteeing traction for safe travel on snow and ice. The combination of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor – on which eAWD traction is based – provides higher torque than a car with a conventional combustion engine. It also offers the option of high-precision torque adjustments during take-off and while driving off-road on the most challenging terrain, when a low transmission ratio is required.
A bike which quietly but confidently says “style” effortlessly and impeccably combines the best of traditional and modern. Perfect for both leisurely making your way on a Sunday afternoon for lunch by the harbour and for zipping through the traffic in rush hour. To be truly great, you have to know how to move with the times and the V7 III Milano has embraced this philosophy fully, combining classic elements from the V7 III Special with the best of modern materials. A retro dual-dial instrument panel, the chrome exhaust and passenger grab handle and the glossy tank colours are perfectly offset by the aluminium fenders and side fairings. The result is an eye-catching, seductive siren.
