Am 2. Dezember führte die DRDO in Chandigarh einen Hochgeschwindigkeits-Raketenrodelversuch durch, um ein Kampfjet-Auswurfsystem bei 497 km/h zu testen.

Taiwan hit by biggest earthquake in 25 years

A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Taiwan on Wednesday morning. At least nine people were killed and more than 900 were injured. A tsunami wave of 30 centimetres was measured on the coast of the Japanese island of Yonaguni. Tsunami warnings have now been lifted.

Hundreds evacuated after explosive eruption of Mount Ruang in Indonesia

Hundreds of people were forced to evacuate after a volcano in Indonesia's North Sulawesi province erupted on Tuesday, and twice again on Wednesday. Footage captured lava spewing from Mount Ruang's crater and “explosive hot clouds” reaching more than a mile into the sky. Authorities have evacuated more than 800 people from the surrounding area, and there are currently no reports of casualties or injuries.
