How To Be Eco-Conscious When Gardening In Fall
When the leaves begin to fall from the trees, it's essential to clear them away and prepare your garden for the winter months. However, when gardening during fall and deposing of waste there are a few rules you should follow. Empty out plastic pots and trays for recycling. Also, paper and cardboard waste belong in the paper trash. Broken flower pots, as well as other objects made out of natural materials like clay, should be disposed of in the residual waste. The same applies to smaller items such as florist's wire or plant clips made of plastic and metal. For larger items, it is recommended to dispose of them at the recycling center. Fallen leaves, smaller branches, fallen fruit, flowers and other plant debris belong in the organic waste garbage.
