Medieval church tower suspended 45 feet above ground in London
A 700-year-old church tower has been dramatically suspended in the air on stilts in central London to make way for a new skyscraper project. The historic tower of All Hallows Staining Church now hovers 45 feet above the ground over an excavation site at 50 Fenchurch Street, in what developers are calling a 'never before seen feat of engineering'.
