When a 100-meter swimming champion dives into the water, every corner of his body, every surface of his shape, contributes to gaining or losing fractions of a second, and the same goes for automotive races. What unites the Lamborghini Temerario super sports car, with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, with the two-time swimming world champion Filippo Magnini, is the perfect mastery of aerodynamics, or rather, in the champion's case, "hydrodynamic" efficiency. "My goals are two," says Magnini. "Develop the technical ability and power to the maximum: this is my style, what allows me to achieve the maximum in terms of hydrodynamics". In the video "Sculpted by Speed", Magnini says that for a pool sprinter, speed is everything. For him, the 100 meters are the benchmark for the fastest swimmers with the best aerodynamics, just as the speed from 0 to 100 km/h is for super sports cars.

Efficient, emotive and electrifying – these attributes neatly sum up the ENYAQ iV. In launching its first all-electric SUV, the Czech car manufacturer has taken the biggest step yet in its electromobility strategy. The new ENYAQ iV is the first ŠKODA production model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular electric car platform. It is built at ŠKODA’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav, making it the only MEB-based model in Europe to be manufactured outside of Germany. ŠKODA’s new flagship boasts generous amounts of space as is typical of the brand, and – thanks to its emotive design language – its appearance is electrifying too. Inside, new Design Selections replace the classic trim levels, while a clear and new structure of the options available means the car can be configured with just a few clicks. The ENYAQ iV comes with rear- or all-wheel drive, and there are five power levels and three battery sizes to choose from. The range of more than 520 km in the WLTP cycle is perfectly suitable for travelling long distances. The car will be launched in the spring of 2021.
It was another night for the Hethel history books as resurgent British sports car manufacturer Lotus gave a world debut to the all-new Emira. It was staged live in front of an on-site audience of VIP media and honoured guests, with tens of thousands more viewing the simultaneous online broadcast from all corners of the world. Matt Windle, Managing Director, Lotus Cars, told guests: “The Emira is an absolute game-changer for Lotus. It’s a hugely significant milestone in our path to becoming a truly global performance car brand. It’s a new sports car – our first in many years – and what an offering it is from Lotus!” The hour-long live-action unveiling was centred on the iconic Hethel test track and culminated in a high-octane lap of the north circuit by an Emira – officially the last petrol-powered car from Lotus. That lap drew to a close on the steering pad, directly in front of the audience as they witnessed the ‘unboxing’ of another Emira.
