Skoda 4×4 Winter Experience - Physical advantage of all-wheel drive

The most important physical advantage of all-wheel drive is the distribution of drive power to all four wheels. In this process, each individual wheel transmits less power than in a vehicle with only one driven axle. This leaves a greater margin until the adhesion limit is reached, which can be used to transmit lateral guidance forces, for example. The vehicle thus remains controllable. In addition, the all-wheel drive can transmit more power, which enables better acceleration and is even a prerequisite for starting off if necessary. For more comfort in winter, Škoda offers its customers various options. A steering wheel heater prevents cold hands and a heated windshield ensures a clear view without ice scraping. With the ice scraper, one of Škoda's best-known Simply Clever features can still be found in the fuel filler cap or, in the case of vehicles in the Enyaq iV family, in the tailgate. Heated seats are also available as an option for rear-seat passengers, and an optional auxiliary heater warms up the interior and engine before departure. It can be conveniently preprogrammed or switched on remotely by remote control. Škoda Original Accessories also include practical rubber floor mats and trunk inserts, roof racks and/or roof boxes, for example for transporting ski equipment.
