Introduced in 1981, the Jeep Scrambler (CJ-8) was the Jeep brand's first pickup truck with a removable roof. This capable and versatile small pickup resembled the CJ-7, but featured a longer wheelbase of 261 inches and a long rear overhang for more cargo space. Four decades later, the Jeep Scrambler 392 concept car harkens back to the CJ-8's fun open-air origins, but with a hefty swerve. While the CJ-8 never featured a V8 engine, the 392 Scrambler Concept Car boasts an impressive 346 kW (470 hp) of power and an incredible 637 Newton-meters of torque from its 6.4 HEMI® V8. The Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept Car, which began life as a four-door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, also emphasizes the lightweight off-road performance achieved by a custom carbon fiber body. The transformation showcases the Scrambler's new two-door aesthetic with the character of open-air freedom. The windshield is raked twelve degrees to match the lower roof. The modified silhouette is a nod to chopped top hotrods. One of the most exciting features of the Jeep Scrambler 392 is the newly introduced AccuAir air suspension, which was developed for Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator. This system allows for an individually adjustable suspension stroke of 3.8 to 14 centimeters, controlled either by a panel in the driver's cabin or wirelessly by a long-range Bluetooth terminal.
