A German hiker from Augsburg has died in South Tyrol. This was reported by the Italian news agency INSA. The 82-year-old was probably hiking with his wife on a popular hiking trail when the accident occurred. According to the report, the two were hiking the Vellauer Felsenweg trail near the town of Merano. The accident occurred at around 3 p.m. on the challenging hiking route.
