The partial legalization of cannabis is delayed. Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) told the Berlin-based newspaper "Tagesspiegel" that "it will not come into force on January 1". However, the debate on the content has been concluded. The plan is to pass the law in the last week of the Bundestag session this year between December 13 and 15. After that, however, it is still the Bundesrat's turn and the deadlines for the last Bundesrat session of the year on December 15 are too tight, it was said. The federal government's draft bill provides for cannabis to be removed from the list of banned substances in the Narcotics Act.
