In the A110 R, Alpine combines uncompromising lightweight construction and highly efficient aerodynamics with a powerful drive. The new top model in the range uses the performance level of the 1.8-liter turbocharged engine already familiar from the A110 S, with 221 kW/ 300 hp at 6,300 rpm. Coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the four-cylinder engine mobilizes its maximum torque of 340 Nm at just 2,400 rpm and accelerates the two-seater with Launch Control from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. At 280 km/h, the A110 R also sets a new record for the A110 model portfolio. A flawless sports suspension optimized for use on the racetrack brings the power to the asphalt. The body is lowered by ten millimeters compared with the A110 S. Hydraulically adjustable shock absorbers allow the vehicle to be lowered manually by a further ten millimeters for use on the racetrack with the wheels removed. At the same time, the rebound and compression stages of the dampers can be varied 20-fold via a click ring for maximum performance on the racetrack. Racing enthusiasts can thus tailor the suspension to their driving style. In addition, the developers increased the stiffness of the anti-roll bars by ten percent at the front and 25 percent at the rear. The springs all around are also ten percent stiffer.
