In the 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine, innovative technology helps the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC achieve a rated output of 300 kW (408 hp) at 6,750 rpm. Maximum torque of 500 Nm is available at 5,000 rpm. Depending on the situation, the system also briefly provides an additional boost of 10 kW (14 hp) from the belt-driven starter generator (RSG). The second-generation RSG acts as a mild hybrid, providing temporary power boost as well as functions such as sailing and recuperation for maximum efficiency. At the same time, the 48-volt technology also enhances comfort, as the transitions between the start-stop and sailing functions are almost imperceptible. The C 43 4MATIC sedan accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, the C 43 Estate only slightly longer at 4.7 seconds. The top speed in both models is electronically governed at 250 km/h. The optional AMATIC system can also be added. By adding the optional AMG Driver's Package, it can be raised to 265 km/h in each case. The great efficiency potential of the innovative turbo technology is revealed by the combined consumption figures according to WLTP of 9.1-8.7 l/100 km for the sedan and 9.2-8.8 l/100 km for the estate.
