"In keeping with its powerful design and advanced construction, the G70 is available in two powerful and efficient engine variants with a refined four-cylinder engine and turbocharger: either as a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 197 hp or 245 hp, or as a 2.2-liter diesel with 200 hp. A key feature of the 2.0-turbo gasoline engine is the smaller turbine wheel in the turbocharger. Thanks to this compact system, the engine responds quickly and without turbo lag. At the same time, torque increases in the lower engine speed range, which has a positive effect on responsiveness - a welcome advantage, especially during overtaking maneuvers. A balance shaft module reduces engine vibrations, ensuring unsurpassed smoothness even at high engine speeds. The G70 features a dual injection system, taking advantage of both direct injection (GDI) and multi-point injection (MPI) for optimum fuel efficiency. Engine-driven variable intake valve timing and a two-stage oil pump provide even greater efficiency. The 2.2-liter diesel engine with 200 hp and 440 Nm of torque also offers plenty of pulling power. Thanks to its lightweight aluminum design, it runs particularly quietly and efficiently. Reduced internal engine friction and the common rail injection system with a pressure of 2,200 bar ensure exemplary fuel economy. As a result, the new G70 also meets the exhaust emission standards of the currently strictest EU directives according to Euro 6d and RDE2 (Real Driving Emissions Stage 2)."
