Alessio Rovera new official Ferrari Competizioni GT driver

The line-up of official Ferrari Competizioni GT drivers is enriched with a new talent, that of Alessio Rovera, announced at the Mugello Finali Mondiali. Rovera was born in Varese on 22 June 1995 and was one of the great protagonists of Season 9 of the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship in the LMGTE Am class together with François Perrodo and the other official driver Nicklas Nielsen. Although he was making his debut in the category, with his teammates he won both in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the drivers' classification that assigns the FIA ​​Endurance Trophy. Rovera's performances in the world championship did not go unnoticed, so much so that he was awarded as the revelation driver of the year. Beginnings. Rovera took its first steps in karting starting from 2008 and up to 2012, obtaining podiums and victories. In 2013 he made his debut in a single-seater, with the immediate title of Italian Formula Aci-Csai Abarth Champion. After some international experiences, Rovera began his GT career by obtaining an Italian title in 2017 in the Porsche single-make. In 2019 he became the Italian GT Sprint Champion, and then rose to the fore at the wheel of the AF Corse team's Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020, winning the Italian GT Endurance Championship in 2020. In 2021 the driver from Varese was the protagonist, as well as in the FIA ​​WEC, also in the European Le Mans Series - conquering two victories and as many podiums - and in some events of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, with a second place in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in Pro-Am class
