The new Mercedes-Benz Citan - intelligence meets emotion

Balanced proportions and sensual surface design characterize the design of the new Mercedes-Benz Citan. Muscular shoulders and pronounced wheel arches emphasize power and emotionality - unusual stylistic devices in a small van. A special eye-catcher in the interior is the sensual, horizontal shape of the instrument panel. With its typical Mercedes-Benz front, the Citan fits into the family of compact models. The flat headlights contribute to this. As is typical of the brand, the interior of the headlights is high-quality, detailed and precisely designed. This already applies to the basic model with H7 headlights and LED daytime running lights as well as LED indicators. The radiator grille with the three double louvres and the central star creates a visual link to the van siblings Vito and Sprinter. The bonnet is divided by two modeled edges. The front overhang appears particularly short thanks to the elongated headlights and the lower air inlets, which are modeled almost right up to the wheels. Emotion and intelligence are the two core elements of the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy of sensual clarity. This bipolarity is of course also implemented in the interior of the Citan. With the full, sensually curved volume of the instrument panel, the Mercedes-Benz designers were inspired by the profile of a grand piano. The consistently horizontal alignment was decisive. The narrow wing stretches the interior and creates a generous feeling of space
