Giro kick-off: Schachmann narrowly misses out on victory

Jhonatan Narváez (Ineos Grenadiers) impressively outsprints top favorite Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) in the final meters of stage 1 of the Giro d'Italia and snatches the overall leader's pink jersey as well as the stage win. Maximilian Schachmann (Bora-hansgrohe) just missed out on the triumph, but was delighted with a strong second place.
