The optional "BMW Digital Premium" offer gives BMW customers with the BMW Operating System 9 access to an extended range of services from the BMW ConnectedDrive Store. In addition to on-demand functions for the vehicle, this also offers a constantly growing range of third-party apps from the areas of music, news and gaming for the infotainment system. From now on, additional games will be added to the vehicle via this channel, which can also be played with fully-fledged gaming controllers in the future. BMW is presenting such a gaming experience for the first time at CES 2024: "Beach Buggy Racing 2" offers customers an action-packed racing game experience reminiscent of the great console classics. In split-screen mode, two players can compete against each other in the vehicle with their gaming controllers. Standard, Bluetooth-enabled gaming controllers can be connected to the infotainment system in just a few steps. The controller connection will be available over-the-air for BMW Operating System 9 in the course of 2024. BMW customers can already play single and multiplayer games in the vehicle with the AirConsole app. The games are easily accessible for everyone, as the smartphone becomes the controller and enables simple, easy-to-learn operation (so-called casual games). The range of games in the AirConsole app in the vehicle is constantly being further developed.
