The new Volvo EX30 - Design

The Volvo EX30 combines its compact dimensions with a confident SUV look and balanced body proportions. Typically Scandinavian is that everything fulfills a function and there are no superfluous details. While the low hood, the striking wheel arches, the large wheels and the comparatively high ground clearance of 165 mm ensure a powerful appearance, other features reinforce the modern electric character: such as the closed front section, the narrower and wider-looking LED front and rear lights in the new segmented design, glossy black details, the black contrasting roof and the frameless exterior mirrors, which provide another impressive example of minimalist Scandinavian design. The closed, body-colored front section gives the vehicle an unmistakable look. The Volvo emblem is located directly on the front cover; the sensors for the ADAS driver assistance systems are also discreetly integrated here. The extra-wide headlight design, together with the low hood and wide fenders, creates a striking impression. The Volvo designers also drew inspiration for the front end from the helmet design of Boba Fett, the famous bounty hunter from "Star Wars".
