Since 2022, Mercedes-Benz offers battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in all segments in which the brand is represented. From 2025, according to current plans, all new vehicle architectures will be exclusively electric. Customers will then have a fully electric alternative to choose from for each model. The company is investing significantly more in research and development to achieve this. In total, more than €40 billion is earmarked for investment in battery-electric vehicles between 2022 and 2030. The accelerated expansion of the range of electric vehicles will lead to a faster breakthrough for electromobility. In 2025, Mercedes-Benz plans to introduce three fully electric architectures: MB.EA, AMG.EA and VAN.EA. Mercedes-Benz has been publishing product environmental information in accordance with ISO Guideline 14021 since as early as 2005. The "360° Environmental Check", which is verified by external experts, is based on a comprehensive eco-balance of the respective vehicle in which many environmentally relevant details are documented. The Group's Sustainability Report has provided information on this annually since 2006. The annual Sustainability Dialogue brings together over 200 representatives from politics, business, science and society.
