The new Volkswagen ID.7 - Extraordinary camouflage concept is interactive

VW is making the intelligence of the new ID.7 visible in a special way at CES in Las Vegas. The camouflaged sedan features a digital camouflage design with a unique vehicle paint job that makes the ID.7 shine interactively. 40 layers of paint were applied, which are sometimes conductive and sometimes insulating. 22 separately controllable areas of the vehicle are electrified (electroluminescence) underneath the top layer of paint to make them glow. If the whole thing is coupled to a sound system, the rhythm becomes visible via the lighting up of individual areas. The QR codes on the hood and both flanks serve as an interface between the physical and digital worlds. The entire camouflage continues the QR code theme and thus conceals the contours of the later production vehicle
