Marsch Railway between Hamburg and Sylt: Discussion on Route Expansion

By spring 2025, the plans for the Marsch Railway between Hamburg and Westerland on Sylt should be finalized by the federal government – this is demanded by the participants of the fourth railway summit in North Frisia, which took place on Tuesday evening. A representative from Berlin also attended the meeting. Recently, the two-track expansion of the route seemed to be in jeopardy. Schleswig-Holstein's Minister of Transport, Claus Ruhe Madsen (CDU), is also dissatisfied with the current progress and shows understanding for the commuters.
