The Audi Q5 Sportback is launching in Europe with three engine options - two TDIs and one TFSI. Their power range is 150 kW (204 hp) to 210 kW (286 hp). All engines fall below the limits of the new Euro 6d ISC-FCM AP emissions standard, which in particular severely limits nitrogen oxide emissions in road tests. A 2.0 TDI powers the Q5 Sportback 40 TDI quattro. It delivers 150 kW (204 hp) and 400 Nm of torque. It accelerates the CUV from zero to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 222 km/h. A 12-volt mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) system boosts efficiency. Its belt starter generator (RSG) can recover energy during deceleration and store it in a compact lithium-ion battery. In addition, the MHEV system allows sailing with the engine off and lets the start-stop range begin at speeds as low as 22 km/h. A second power variant of the 2.0 TDI will follow after market launch. Power transmission for the four-cylinder diesel is a seven-speed S tronic and the efficient quattro drive with ultra technology. In normal driving, it sends torque exclusively to the front wheels. As soon as all-wheel drive is needed, two clutches engage the rear axle at lightning speed, in many situations even predictively.

Efficient, emotive and electrifying – these attributes neatly sum up the ENYAQ iV. In launching its first all-electric SUV, the Czech car manufacturer has taken the biggest step yet in its electromobility strategy. The new ENYAQ iV is the first ŠKODA production model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular electric car platform. It is built at ŠKODA’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav, making it the only MEB-based model in Europe to be manufactured outside of Germany. ŠKODA’s new flagship boasts generous amounts of space as is typical of the brand, and – thanks to its emotive design language – its appearance is electrifying too. Inside, new Design Selections replace the classic trim levels, while a clear and new structure of the options available means the car can be configured with just a few clicks. The ENYAQ iV comes with rear- or all-wheel drive, and there are five power levels and three battery sizes to choose from. The range of more than 520 km in the WLTP cycle is perfectly suitable for travelling long distances. The car will be launched in the spring of 2021.
