The CRF1100L Africa Twin and its Adventure Sports variant, which has received extensive updates for 2024, will also be presented to the public at EICMA. Both models benefit from a 7% increase in maximum engine torque, which is also available 750 rpm earlier. This required changes to the valve control, compression, intake ducts and ECU electronics. Modifications to the DCT dual-clutch transmission, which result in earlier downshifts and improved recognition when cornering, as well as a more natural feel when starting off and between first and second gear, also play their part. The fitting of tubeless tires is another new feature, as is a larger, multi-adjustable cockpit screen. The CRF1100L Africa Twin, which continues to be more off-road oriented, will in future be available with the electronically controlled Showa EERA™ suspension components as an option, which enables optimized damping under all riding conditions and offers a wealth of setup options via the user-friendly 6.5-inch touchscreen display. A new 19-inch front wheel increases the suitability of the 2024 CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports for use on asphalt roads. Wider front tires and more weather protection thanks to a modified front fairing, a larger screen and more comfort thanks to an upholstered seat are further model upgrades.
