With the all-electric CUPRA Born through the winter

источник: AUTOMOTOTV (Glomex)

In the cold season, drivers often have to deal with slippery roads and low temperatures. No problem for the latest generation of ultra-modern e-vehicles like the CUPRA Born. However, cold slows down the electronic processes in the cells of the batteries, which can lead to a loss of range. Air conditioning the vehicle in cold temperatures is also energy-intensive. CUPRA reveals how state-of-the-art equipment and the right settings can still get you through the cold safely and without much loss of range. Air conditioning the vehicle places a heavy load on the battery. If you heat the car to a pleasant 22 degrees while driving in wintry temperatures, you put a corresponding strain on the energy storage unit. A practical function provides a remedy here: You can use the parking climate control in your CUPRA Born to select the desired temperature even before you start driving. Thanks to CUPRA CONNECT GEN4 technology, this can be done conveniently from the breakfast table via the My CUPRA app. The CUPRA Born then operates from the power socket or wallbox and does not use the battery. The result: the windows are clear and you enter a pleasantly tempered vehicle - the battery no longer has to perform the feat of fully air-conditioning the interior, but simply maintains the temperature.
