The new McLaren 750S - top performance of a super sports car, pure driving pleasure

As the lightest and most powerful production McLaren, the new 750S with V8 engine and rear-wheel drive, available as a coupe and convertible, is a super sports car for purists par excellence. Designed and engineered after careful analysis of the renowned McLaren 720S, the new 750S combines advances in weight saving, powertrain performance, aerodynamics and dynamic excellence to take an exemplary driving experience to a new level. Approximately 30 percent of the components of the 750S are either new or have been modified to achieve these improvements and, in turn, an even stronger emotional connection to the car. With all carbon fiber and lightweight options available, the coupe weighs 1,277 kg in the lightest dry version, resulting in a segment-leading power-to-weight ratio of 587 hp per ton. That's a remarkable 193 kg lighter than its nearest competitor and offers a power advantage of 22 hp. The 750S Spider was developed with the same focus on weight reduction. It features a retractable hardtop (RHT), a rollover protection system, and a custom carbon-fiber upper monocoque structure that is so strong that no additional reinforcements are required. This ensures that the Spider has an equally impressive power-to-weight ratio, leading the segment with 566 hp per ton at its lowest dry weight of 1,326 kg.
