Leopard main battle tanks for Ukraine | Scholz likely to agree on this condition

According to the "Süddeutsche Zeitung," German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) made it clear in a telephone conversation with U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday that Germany could only allow the delivery of Leopard main battle tanks if the U.S., for its part, provided Ukraine with its own Abrams main battle tanks. Biden, however, apparently had not yet committed himself in Tuesday's conversation. The U.S. news portal "Politico" reported Wednesday, citing informed circles, that the U.S. is considering supplying Stryker wheeled infantry fighting vehicles, among other things, but does not want to provide Abrams tanks.
