A survey of 2,500 people from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France sheds light on the differences in care habits. Italians are the leaders in dental hygiene, with a third brushing their teeth three times a day. Germans, Swiss and Austrians, on the other hand, prefer to brush twice a day. In France, one in four people brush their teeth once or less. Regional differences can also be seen in the choice of toothbrush and ear cleaning practices. There is also variability with regard to showering habits, with Italians showering daily or less often and Germans two to three times a week.
