Alpine A290 - electric compact sports car tested under extreme conditions in the Arctic Circle

Shortly before its market launch in June 2024, the new all-electric Alpine A290 compact sports car is undergoing driving tests in the most extreme weather conditions near the Arctic Circle. The technical teams are testing the prototypes in Sweden at temperatures as low as -30°C on the racetrack and on the road. With the large-scale tests, the team ensures that the new Alpine model achieves the required performance at all times under the most difficult conditions. As with every Alpine model, special attention is paid to the dynamic performance of the A290. Engine response, driving precision and agility are carefully tested to ensure an excellent driving experience even under extreme conditions.
