The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class under the microscope - the cameras in the interior

The new selfie and video camera (part of the MBUX Superscreen optional equipment) is located at the top of the instrument panel. When the vehicle is stationary, the driver can participate in online conferences via e.g. "Webex" with a video image and take personal photos and videos. These can be stored on a USB stick. Thanks to their wide-angle perspective, parts of the interior including the front side windows and, depending on the equipment, the Panaro roof can also be seen. This enables special pictures and films with a whole new perspective. The cameras no longer work with individual control units. The computing functions of previously separate domains take place in a single computing unit. Screens and the MBUX infotainment system thus share a new, very powerful vehicle central computer. This type of networking increases the performance and speed of data streams.
