The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class - Classic proportions and special character lines in the exterior design

The new E-Class has the proportions of a classic three-box sedan: The short front overhang and long engine hood are followed by the passenger cabin, which is set far back. The "cab-backward" design is rounded off by the balanced rear overhang. A black panel-like surface connects the radiator grille with the headlights. This insert in high-gloss black is visually reminiscent of the Mercedes-EQ models. The three-dimensionally designed radiator grille has a progressive or classic design depending on the equipment line. The new E-Class has LED high-performance headlights as standard. DIGITAL LIGHT without and with projection function is available as an optional extra. All headlight variants offer a distinctive day and night design. The daytime running light is designed in the shape of an eyebrow, typical of the brand. Powerdomes accentuate the hood. In the side view, the harmonious proportions and distinctive "cab-backward" design are particularly effective. The flush-mounted door handles familiar from the luxury-class models from Mercedes-Benz are available as an option. The two separate character lines on the side emphasize the sporty character of the car. The highlight at the rear are the two-part LED lights with a new contour and special design: the star look in both light sections offers a special day and night design.
