Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV - A Plug-in Hybrid the Mazda Way

With the new Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV, Mazda presents a plug-in hybrid that combines the best of both worlds in a way that is typical of the brand: the comfortable and direct driving experience of an electric car and the long-distance and everyday practicality of an internal combustion engine. While the wheels are powered solely by the electric motor, a newly developed rotary engine provides additional range. In terms of price, the new Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV starts at 35,990 euros, just like the all-electric Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv EV. The model will make its debut at the Motor Show in Brussels. Customer orders will be available at Mazda dealers from February 1, 2023. With the new Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV, the Japanese manufacturer offers an attractive model for all customers who want to be on the road in all-electric mode as often as possible in everyday life, but do not want to worry about range or charging stops on longer journeys. Unlike most popular plug-in hybrids, the Hiroshima-based company relies on a serial system for the new Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV, in which the wheels are always driven by a 125 kW/170 hp electric motor - and in which a compact rotary engine complete with generator significantly increases the overall range when needed.
