The new Honda Civic Type R - The interior design

The interior of the new Civic Type R is completely focused on driving pleasure. However, the new Civic Type R combines its race track performance-oriented character with a high level of comfort, functionality and everyday practicality - qualities it inherits from the Civic. The driver sits eight mm lower than in the previous Civic Type R and the current eleventh-generation Civic, further enhancing the sports car feel. Newly designed, lightweight front sports seats provide secure support in the hip area, support the body posture and ensure comfort and freedom of movement, whether for ambitious drives on the racetrack or longer tours on the road. This allows the driver to maintain a natural driving position at all times and gives him the feeling of being directly connected to the car during fast cornering. Thanks to the reduced hip point, the body-hugging seats convey an engaging driving experience. The entire cockpit is designed to enhance concentration during intense driving experiences. All key controls are within easy reach, and the main information display is positioned as centrally as possible to allow the driver to focus on the road.
