More traffic jams in Hamburg

There were significantly more and longer traffic jams on Hamburg's highways this summer than last year. According to ADAC statistics, all traffic jams combined were 3,400 kilometers long, an increase of 15 percent. Even on weekdays, there were sometimes considerable delays. The ADAC also explains the congestion figures with the still large travel backlog since the end of the pandemic. Individual roadworks in the direction of the Baltic Sea, for example, were also partly responsible.
