A trip to see the snowdrops in Alcsut. A big rush at the Alcsúti Arborétum at the moment. Hundreds of thousands of snowdrops are currently blooming here. Spring flowers run through the forest like a white carpet and are currently fascinating numerous onlookers. The flowers are protected in Hungary and picking them is also prohibited here in the park. However, the smell and the sight are enough... The green park has something more to offer. If you are through the snowdrop forest, you can cross the former castle park on good hiking trails. The remains of Alcsút Castle are also on the way. Archduke Joseph had his summer residence here in 1827. In 1945 the castle burned down completely. The chapel is still complete and is part of the circular route. Passing the beautiful pond complex, you can spend a few hours here. The snowdrops will bloom for a few more days before the white carpet disappears again. But soon the next flower families will bloom and let the forest shine in bright colors. Entry to the park costs around 5 euros per adult. Incidentally, you can also reach the park with the legendary narrow-gauge railway from Felcsut, which Viktor Orban introduced when he built the stadium
