Absa Cape Epic 2021 - Stage 3 -: German-Czech duo Andreas Seewald / Martin Stošek celebrate stage victory, Sina Frei / Laura Stigger continue on their way to overall victory

Seewald has already announced all week that he will be demonstrating his world champion qualities, and That was finally the case today, when he and Stošek drove to an important stage win. The Canyon Northwave MTB duo stayed in second place in the overall standings, but were able to narrow the gap to the two leading Matt Beers and Jordan Sarrou from the NinetyOne-songo-Specialized team to 1:43 minutes. Samuele Porro and Fabian Rabensteiner (Trek-Pirelli) were the only ones who managed to keep up with Seewald and Stošek on the ascent of the Fanties Pass and drove the last 10 kilometers towards the goal together. Urs Huber and Simon Schneller of the BULLS made it to the finish line third and the current wearers of the yellow jersey, Beers and Sarrou, came in fifth, behind the BULLS 2 team.
