"Destructive influence": ECA criticizes FIFA's World Cup plans

Once again, FIFA is facing harsh criticism for its plans to reshape the World Cup schedule. The European Club Association (ECA) sees it as a "direct and destructive influence on club soccer". UEFA, the German Football Association (DFB) and the EU Commission had already expressed similar disapproval.
