The most successful Christmas songs every year
At Christmas, most radio stations play the same festive songs over and over again, bringing millions in revenue to successful songwriters. CSGO analyzed the Christmas songs to find out which ones were streamed the most on Spotify and estimated the revenue of each song. Here are the top five: In first place is Wham!'s Last Christmas (1986), sung by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, with estimated earnings of 15 million dollars. It is followed by none other than Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" (1994), which is considered the anthem of December and brought in 12 million dollars. A more modern hit in third place is Ariana Grande's "Santa Tell Me" (2013) with estimated royalties of 6.8 million dollars. Michael Bublé's cover of "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" earned 6.5 million dollars. The fifth-highest Christmas song with estimated earnings of 5.8 million dollars is "Snowman" by Sia.
