Stuttgart kindles a sea of candles

A part of Stuttgart's Schlossplatz turned into a sea of candles on Saturday evening. The 'One Million Stars' campaign by Caritas aims to raise awareness for people in need. Each light symbolizes a person in distress. The fundraising supports aid for homeless people in Stuttgart, among other causes. According to organizers, this solidarity campaign has been running for 18 years. It takes place nationwide in around 80 cities. Passersby were invited to light a candle themselves.
