Impulse by City Pastor Buß: Lord, open my lips - so that my mouth may proclaim your praise!

With the call from Psalm 51: "Lord, open my lips - so that my mouth may proclaim your praise!" (Ps. 51:17), the daily prayer of the Church is opened. The Frankfurt Cathedral Pastor and City Dean Dr. Johannes zu Eltz (*2.10.1957) once expanded this prayer: "Lord, open my eyes so that I may see Your beauty. Lord, open my ears so that my heart may understand your word. Lord, close my lips so that I may silently fathom You. Then open my lips so that my mouth may proclaim your praise." In this prayer, seeing precedes hearing and speaking.
