Accident on A5: BMW driver collides with truck - occupants slightly injured

Schriesheim: On Tuesday around 1 p.m., there was a traffic accident on the A5 in the direction of Darmstadt between a truck and a car. A BMW driver changed from the left to the right lane for unknown reasons and collided with a truck. The BMW spun several times and came to a halt in the left lane. The driver and the female passenger of the BMW were slightly injured and went to the hospital. The truck driver was uninjured. The car was a total loss and had to be towed away. A tailback of about 5 kilometers formed in front of the accident site. Traffic was diverted past the accident site on the hard shoulder during the rescue and recovery work.
