Lower Saxony wants to be climate-neutral by 2045

As one of its last major official acts, the state government of Lower Saxony tightened the climate protection law passed in 2020 on June 28th. This is intended to further reduce CO2 emissions and achieve climate targets more quickly. In the future there will be a solar roof requirement for new buildings. Criticism hails from local authorities and environmental organizations
