Excellent bathing water quality in Schleswig-Holstein

Good news for all those who are hot for the cold water: The bathing water quality in Schleswig-Holstein is excellent. According to the Ministry of Health, there is no bacteriological contamination on the coasts and inland waters. The bathing season begins on June 1 at most of the 300 bathing sites in Schleswig-Holstein. Currently, the responsible health authorities of the districts and independent cities are sampling the waters and monitoring the quality. There is no significant concentration of blue-green algae in inland waters. Even in the North Sea and Baltic Sea, algae are not yet impairing bathing enjoyment. This is due to the current low temperatures of less than 15 degrees and the few rays of sunshine.
