Railway line Niebüll-Sylt: Car trains to receive roofing

The car trains on the Marschbahn line between Niebüll and Westerland on Sylt are to receive a roofing. This will protect the vehicles on the trains from the overhead lines after electrification. The Kiel Ministry of Economic Affairs and the NAH.SH presented a corresponding study today. The two car train operators will now examine the feasibility. There will be another working meeting on the planned electrification of the Marschbahn line in mid-October.
