A snail plague in the garden can be avoided by starting to search for eggs now. As soon as the temperatures rise, snails start looking for food, such as young plants of vegetables and flowers. To prevent damage from feeding, you can do the following: Display infobox: Prevent snail plague - In spring, thoroughly hack the beds about 20 centimeters deep to destroy the egg masses or bring them to the surface where predators can find them. - Daily search for eggs and snails under boards, roof tiles, clay pots, and large leaves and collect them. - Remove or replace bark mulch early. - Pay attention to a well-functioning rot in the compost - high temperatures are not good for snail eggs. - Water the beds only early in the morning so that the nocturnal snails have greater difficulties moving around.
