"One Billion Rising": global day of action against violence against women

Tuesday was an international day of action against violence against women. "One Billion Rising" is a worldwide campaign in which women and men take to the streets and dance. Because every third woman worldwide has been a victim of violence, has been beaten, forced into sexual contact, raped or otherwise abused. Many cities in Lower Saxony are also taking part in "One Billion Rising". Bremen has also been involved since the day of action was launched in 2013.
