With "Oliver Witt is a journalist and author. On his website, he describes himself as "curious about books, music and movies". With "Ein trügerischer Sommer in Norden", published by Himmelstürmer Verlag, he has produced an exciting novel that vividly describes the narrowness and stuffiness of a village in the 1980s. In the fictional community of "Sünnebeek" near Flensburg, dramas large and small take place, which are skillfully staged by author Witt. "Quarrels, secret love affairs, longings - and in the midst of it all, the cracked heart of 16-year-old Gunnar," reads the blurb on the book's cover: "While the July heat is getting to everyone, an undefined curiosity lies dormant in him, which is then fulfilled when he meets a school friend." Oliver Witt lived and worked in Cologne for a long time. He has since moved to the outskirts of the city to devote himself entirely to writing. KiVVON chief reporter Frank Überall met him there to talk about his book.
