Jeff Beer, born in Mitterteich, is a musician, composer, painter, graphic artist, sculptor, photographer and author. After his state examination and master class diploma in composition, percussion and piano, he lived for a long time in Paris and New York - and finally returned to the Northern Upper Palatinate. He lives and works in Gumpen near Falkenberg (district of Tirschenreuth). Since the 1980s, he has enjoyed international success with his iron sculptures.
