The New Electric Ferrari - The Axles

The axles - front and rear - are made up of two independent motors each, which work in perfect synergy to meet the torque vectoring needs for the benefit of the vehicle's dynamics. The front axle, as well as the rear one, has been entirely designed by Ferrari in every part with the aim of ensuring the high performance levels typical of the Maranello House. Transmission, inverter, and electric machines have been designed to maximize control, power density, and efficiency, both electrically and acoustically. Having internally produced the castings in our foundry also allows us to maintain a high level of construction quality in full control of the production processes. All castings are made from a secondary aluminum alloy, a choice that allows to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 90% compared to the traditional alloy, without compromising mechanical performance.
