New Lexus RZ receives five out of five stars in Euro NCAP crash test

The new Lexus RZ offers excellent safety: the all-electric premium SUV has now received five out of five possible stars in the Euro NCAP crash test. Building on a high level of active and passive safety, the almost 4.81-meter-long electric car achieves top results in all sub-categories tested. The independent testing organization rates the occupant protection of adults and children equally at 87 percent and the protection of vulnerable road users at 84 percent. The performance of the safety assistance systems also scored more than 80 percent. Based on an architecture specially developed for electric vehicles, the Lexus RZ has an extremely strong body structure. It features high-strength materials and metals as well as advanced construction techniques that ensure exceptional strength. Nine airbags are fitted as standard to protect occupants in the event of an emergency.
