The new Ford Explorer - The exterior design

The aerodynamically optimized body design of the new Explorer deliberately takes the powerful style of U.S. SUV models from Ford and transfers it to the age of electric mobility. A striking feature is the closed "shield" at the front instead of the conventional radiator grille. The SYNC Move3 communication and infotainment system also marks the new era. The fully networked system can be operated via a swiveling touchscreen with a 14.6-inch diagonal. In the lowest position, this serves as a cover for the "My Private Locker" and protects the valuables stored in it from prying eyes. At the same time, the lockable compartment contains inductive charging ports for suitably equipped smartphones ex works. Smartphone integration via Android Auto4 and Apple CarPlay4 is also wireless.
